Currently I’m waiting for the snowplow to clean the road. It’s a mess. I’d be willing to trade this snow for your rain. Let’s hope Jodi’s legal team puts up another strong performance. Go KN!

  6. I am wondering if today’s testimony by Fonseca might include the renowned ‘pedophile letters.’

    • There’s been some indication that one or more of them is coming in this time – we discussed it on a prior page when talking about why Fonseca’s been allowed to read TA’s letters when LaViolette was not.

      One of the tweeters we’ve been following, a lawyer who’s worked both as a prosecutor and a defense attorney, was asked if the any of the pedo letters were coming in this time, she said it appeared to be so. And when asked how that could happen when JM had managed to keep them out of the trial, she said that anything the experts have used to form their opinion is admissible.

      We don’t have a full explanation on that, (tweets are short) but I am assuming she meant that IN THIS PHASE, anything the experts use to form an opinion is admissible. It doesn’t have to rise to the standard of PROOF of anything, as it would in the guilt phase, it only has to be the basis of an opinion.

      And we know the handwriting expert that examined those letters is on the witness list.

      • Sorry, trying to understand why all of the information coming out in this phase of the trial could not be used in the first phase!!! Why would the truth be avoided during the phase of a trial when one would need to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that someone was guilty? It is CRAZY! To me reasonable doubt has been screaming out loud through out this whole trial! If these things had been allowed in the first phase we would not have been here today and Jodi would be free!!

        • Washington said much more could have come in if the defense team had gone for the more conservative ‘heat of passion’ narrative, rather than reaching for full-on exoneration with self defense. She said the jury would have learned a LOT more about TA, stuff that’s not necessarily pertinent (and therefore not allowed by the court) to a claim of self defense.

    • It’s your middle group I don’t agree with. Karas would be at the top of my biased list, and I find the others Lindstrom, Pitts and Krafft to be as objective as Kiefer and Williams. Even the “objective” reporters have been living and reporting this skewed case for so long, they lose their objectivity for a tweet or two.

  11. I’m going to try watching Karas today, as I appreciate some legal input unaccompanied by gratuitous snark, and Lindstrom is “pretty” good at that but kinda lazy on the tweeting and tends to disappear in the afternoons.
    Much as I hate to say it, Jen seems the best at giving a blow by blow on what’s happening – the rest seem to be struggling to stay awake.

    • I agree. Jen and Kiefer are the ones I read. I still hate Twitter with a passion though. Don’t get why it’s so popular. Facebook is *so* much better IMO.

      • I’m exactly the opposite. I don’t get why Facebook is so popular. I hated it when I used it. Twitter is much better.
        But no matter which one people prefer, Jodi is still innocent. That is the bottom line.

  14. All it takes is to listen to the audio of TA and Jodi to realize that the T-Dog knew a lot about porn – “legitimate porn”. The pics he took of Jodi’s body are not mormon-like, more porno-like.

    Besides an unhealthy communication pattern, he definitely had an unhealthy “sexitive” pattern.

    • The more I find out about that young man the more I wounder if he was ADHD was hypesexual tendencies?? I’m can’t recall if it came put in the trial but I know we talked about him being sexually abused when he was a child.

      I’m having a hard time with the fact that he was losing his house. But it was 2008. What was he spending his money on??

              • I’ve been watching the CA videos on YT, and boy was that a example of how to run a trial. Judge Perry held a spectator in contempt for giving the finger, he admonished the prosecution for laughing and he gave out to the defense for playing “games”. Even counsels’ objections were done in such a dignified fashion. Yet when Perry did interviews afterwards it was obvious that he had been against CA. Still he was able to put that aside and run the courtroom in the most unbiased and professional way. That is how it is supposed to be.

                • Lynn, I watched the whole thing too and he was very biased IMO.
                  He let a lot of things go,
                  The prosecuter got all excited and started picking up cans and evidence and slamming it down. Perry didn’t do a thing.
                  I’ve never heard any of his interviews later, but am not surprised that he was against Casey and the defense team.
                  The prosecuter acted like a baby, almost as bad if not worse than jm.
                  Maybe they don’t show the whole thing in the videos.
                  Maybe it was because it was televised.
                  His groupies were like jm’s.
                  I think televising is a double edge sword. It has it’s pros and cons,
