Jodi News Update #105 – August 2021

Here’s the latest Jodi News Update (#105) for August 2021:

Late last month, Jodi was uprooted from her assigned room and moved to a different area of Lumley Unit. At first, the staff were evasive about the reasons she had to move, but later, several staff members revealed that they were briefed about a guy who had been making threats to break Jodi out of Perryville, and who had actually begun driving to Arizona from the east coast to carry out his moronic plan.

This moron, who will remain unnamed here, was already known to the staff at Perryville. Since last spring, his photo has been posted at the front entrance where staff enter the prison for work. With it was a warning to look out for this asshole should he be spotted anywhere on the premises.

So what changed? According to one corrections officer, late last month, Mr. Moron was pulled over somewhere east of the Mississippi because he had been driving erratically. He admitted to the police officer who pulled him over that he had been lost for two days and was trying to get to Arizona where he was going to “rescue Jodi Arias.” However that strange conversation must have proceeded, the police officer was concerned enough that he or she reported this information and, through the appropriate channels, the Arizona Department of Corrections was informed.

It was because of this tip that the prison decided that this guy may in fact be more unstable than was previously estimated. What had been treated as a mild threat and a warning about a random person had suddenly been elevated because of this person’s decision to act upon his fantasy of rescuing damsel Jodi so they could live happily ever after in non-reality.

Jodi, in her Perryville bubble, remained unaware of these developments until one afternoon while at work in the Lumley Library, two Sergeants informed her that, per the Major (the Warden’s right hand person) she had to move. They weren’t allowed to tell her why. But as the following days unfolded, she learned that because the yard on which she was housed had a direct view to Perryville’s ungated parking lot, this was cause for concern. Also, the yard to which she was moved has an extra razor-wire perimeter fence, providing a little extra security.

She had a difficult time adjusting. On her previous yard, Jodi had settled into a quiet routine of schoolwork, library work, and nursing sapling palm trees. She even had a sometime pet pigeon named April who would land on her hand if Jodi bribed her with sunflower kernels. She also had a decent roommate. But she had to leave all of it.

One tradeoff that Jodi doesn’t hate: Her new room has air conditioning. Thousands of women are housed at Perryville, but many of them are forced to suffer the dangerous summer heat because the Arizona Department of Corrections will not invest in converting all housing units’ wimpy swamp coolers to more efficient air conditioning.

While it seems preposterous that one guy should be cause for concern — a guy who is so out of touch with reality that he actually believes he can bust Jodi out of there and they’ll be blissfully wedded spouses — the Department isn’t taking any chances. Earlier this year, two men escaped from a different facility in Arizona, causing the Department national public embarrassment.

    • Jodi – Greg, Angus, Bea, and I will support you on your path to justice. Don’t listen to the internet trolls, I can’t wait to see their faces when you are released.

  2. I just noticed judge sherry Stephens who presided over Jodis trial is finally retiring after 20 years. Should have happened long time ago. Let’s hope jodi can finally be free of thos nonsense and back in society
Being locked up for self defense is wrong. Good day all

    • Hey Randy,

I am assuming this is what the Facebook post was about. The fact that the county gave her her first murder trial in her entire career which ended up being Jodi’s case is one of the most boneheaded move a judicial system can make. Hopefully, the person that replaces her on the bench has a much better sense of justice and fair courtroom procedure than she did. If anybody find that out, that would be nice to hear. I am sure Jodi would be very curious as well.

      • Hey Lance! I didn’t even see the facebook post….I am not on Facebook. I had not seen any new news concerning Jodi and that popped up about the judge. Time…does Jodi have a new twitter account? She used to have Jodi arias updates but then everything was made private. You had to request permission to view and I never got a response. Maybe I was the only one that didn’t get a response 🙁

        • Hey Randy,

Join the club, I am not on Facebook either. Jodi has been able to send emails for some time as the Perryville prison allowed inmates to possess IPADS. The JAII site went private as SJ, the creator, and his staff got tired of having to scrub the site of all the hate and vitriol from the haters side.
As far as Twitter, I have not paid attention to the Twitter other than what other people mention on this site from there. I would imagine that the Twitter feed will get much busier now that people can’t post here without a password.

  3. Wow unbelievable that someone would travel to break Jodi out of jail. Glad to hear she has a room with air conditioning and the prison moved her to keep her safe from the mad crazy man what a world. Worry more about the virus the some crazy guy in love. Lol funny great read thanks

    • HELLO TEAM JODI!!! Missed you Timewilltell!!! I’m thankful that Jodi is safe and able to stay cool for the rest of this year but hoping FREEDOM is coming her way soon. Everyone please donate whenever you can so it will be doubled. We have 4 more months of the donations to be doubled. Thank you to all for your faithfulness to Jodi. She is worthy of our HELP! FREE JODI ARIAS!

      • Miss you to. I’d love to give a donation but need to rebuild my bank acct. I have 5 cats and had them all fixed cost a fortune. Very protective won’t let them outside have 2 boys and 3 girls. Mom was a stray that snuck past me when I was feeding her outside she gave birth to four. Fell in love and kept them all.

  4. Jodi told me April (the pigeon) keeps alighting on her hat. I’m thinking it might be a mourning dove. They are grey like pigeons and are about 3/4 the weight of citified (fat) pigeons. I thought it was a pigeon too until she identified a few of them for me as they were feeding on the patio back in 2004-05 when I was living in Falls Church. I’m thinking if the average citified pigeon landed on her hat it would probably keep knocking her hat off – lol.

    • Just to correct my above post, when I said “she identified a few [mourning doves]”, I meant my then current friend (Kimberly) not Jodi. I never heard of Jodi until approximately Nov 2012 in CDD/HNN’s ad for the upcoming trial. I still haven’t met Jodi in real life (I tried once but Perryville didn’t like the color of my clothes so they wouldn’t let me visit even though I was on her list at the time).

  5. Can’t believe a crazy, delusional idiot would have such an impact on Jodi. Moving her like there was even a chance this nutcase could succeed lol. I’ve emailed for the password request, hope everyone here is well

  6. As for judge Sherry Stevens seems all Jodi’s court people that we wished would disappear has come true no more nose picking Nurmi no more Juan Martinez superstar no more Hughes now the judge KARMA has accomplished her goal
I don’t follow Facebook groups anymore just 2 justice4jodi and jodi arias haters not allowed. I felt it does no good discussing her case with narrow minded hateful people.
Wish the best for Jodi ❤️

  7. Wonderful news! I hadn’t heard about Judge Stephens retiring. Perfect, all the worthless subjects have been vanished! I’m not following Twitter so just saw this. Hoping Jodi knows we are all still out here pulling for her Freedom. FREE JODI ARIZONA!

  8. Hi, I’ll support Jodi, I think its quite interesting to see how far Jodie can go. Another reason i support Jodie is, because, I know how it is to be down. Been there and unfortunately done that and have been locked up for something i did not do as well. It wasn’t for as long as Jodie has been down, but the point is it happened. Just keep busy Jodie to keep your mind focused and to be aware of your suroundings at all times. And don’t trust those CO ‘s because they will throw you under the bus to the warden in a heart beat.

  9. Its amazing to hear Jodi’s story, watch the documentaries. Not sure if its a compassions thing we all have for Jodi, or for some, just a deep attraction to where we cant imagine this woman being locked up and not free for someone to love. I check in on this site not as often as I have, but would love an update. I hope she is doing well.
Jodi I hope your freedom comes. Keep your head high and that beautiful smile going. I believe you will find your justice in the near future.
    Good bye for now beautiful.
