Jodi Arias Trial – Day 40

Ok then… so we kind of already knew what a player, expert manipulator, sexual deviant and a total bastard TA was. It basically states the same in the 2011 Plea Bargain document.

But it’s good that the specific details are now coming out through Alyce LaViolette’s testimony. No wonder the state went out of their way to try and hide the 8,000+ emails & texts. So much for Dave Hall’s recent TV comments, where he states that Jodi was only dating TA for his “cars” and his “money”. That’s the car he sold due to being broke, and all the money he begged & borrowed from Sky Hughes & others, right?

The cross with Alyce should be interesting to say the least. She is well accustomed to dealing with arrogant bad tempered little shits, but nevertheless it’ll be interesting to see how long it takes JM before he asks her if she has “memory problems”, and subsequently if Alyce can resist bouncing the water jug off JM’s new wig. We shall see.

Thanks to everyone for their ongoing support of Jodi, and in helping get this site into the top 19,000 most visited sites in the US right now. It’s also great to see that we can have ongoing meaningful (and sometimes highly humorous) discussion during the trial, without resorting to hateful comments and stupid-ass death threats. That’s say a lot…. and it’s testament to what I’ve mentioned many times before. The grass on this side of the fence is definitely greener… while you can hardly see the grass on the Taliban side of the fence for BS.

Jodi Arias Trial – Day 39 (afternoon session)

Following the dismissal of juror #5 this morning, Alyce LaViolette is now back on the stand continuing her direct testimony. The various email exchanges detailing TA’s systematic abuse are finally get some serious airplay.

USA Today stated as follows:

Furthermore, according to the filing, the case agent, Mesa police Detective Esteban Flores, told the defense attorneys that there was nothing “out of the ordinary” among Alexander’s emails; about 8,000 were turned over to the defense in June 2010, including the Hughes emails.

The 2011 filing details the email contents, including “A response from Mr. Hughes … wherein he asserts that he believes Jodi would be his (Travis’) next victim and that Jodi was just another girl that he (Travis) was playing.” Alexander allegedly replied by saying “I am a bit of a sociopath.”

Other emails from Sky Hughes, the filing says, say that Alexander considered Arias to be a “booty call,” and said “How he, Mr. Alexander, was abusive to Jodi and … how he was beating her emotionally in part by making out with her without giving her a commitment.” And there is an email from another woman Alexander was seeing at the time “wherin she complains of Mr. Alexander’s conduct making her feel used and dirty.”

How much of those emails make it into testimony remains to be seen. Chris and Sky Hughes have already testified for the prosecution regarding an earlier allegation of misconduct by Martinez, but the topic of the emails was not discussed. They could be called back.

Jodi Arias Trial – Day 39

It’s been quite eventful over the Easter recess, with juror #5 being called out and on the verge of being booted from the jury following their recent antics. This came to light last Thursday after a closed door hearing, following the impromptu evidentiary hearing testimony of HLN’s JINKASAURUS. Judge Pickles basically tried to keep one can of worms closed over Martinez’ grandstanding escapades, while inadvertently opening another.

As for a mistrial being granted, I’d hope that wouldn’t happen. Yes, it’d certainly be good ammo for any appellate court after the trial (in the unlikely event it’s needed)… but more importantly, Victory for Jodi is now in plain sight… so let’s plough on from here and see it through to the end.

The wounded, weary & clueless Travis Taliban are now dropping like flies, as they finally start to realize they will be defeated… even more so now all their “hopes” ultimately rest on a Walmart receipt.

That’s what happens when you fly the false flag of Justice… and when all you’re really doing is hating and seeking retribution & vengeance. Justice never comes into it. It never has.

Remember… We are TEAM JODI and WE WILL BE VICTORIOUS.

Ain’t that the truth.

Jodi Arias defense calls for juror to be dismissed [ABC 15]

Jodi Arias’ attorneys have filed a motion asking for a mistrial because of juror misconduct.

In the 5-page filing, Kirk Nurmi and Jennifer Willmott said the juror misconduct was discovered in sealed proceedings that took place last Thursday.

The attorneys are asking Juror 5 be removed from the jury because “statements Juror 5 made in front of her fellow jurors amounts to misconduct that inserted partiality in what is supposed to be an impartial body.”

Arias’ attorney claim Juror 5 is neither fair or impartial at this point making “her removal from the jury essential” to ensure Arias’ rights.

The motion said on March 28, a meeting was held with jurors to discuss an issue involving prosecutor Juan Martinez posing for pictures and signing autographs outside the courthouse.

During that hearing, information came out that “Juror 5 engaged in misconduct that affected more than one juror.”

Details about what specifically happened are not known because the information is sealed.

The attorneys are asking for a mistrial or that Juror 5 be removed from the jury.

Currently, there are 18 jurors sitting in on the trial. Only 12 will be picked to deliberate once closing arguments are done.

The other six are considered alternates.

The trial is expected to resume at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Jennifer Willmott – Opening Statements from Jan 2nd

In the midst of this prosecutorial misconduct riddled circus & reality TV show – I thought this would be a good time to post Jennifer Willmott’s Opening Statements from day 1 of the trial.

I had planned to write some more on Martinez’ showboating antics, but I’ve written too much about that stupid ass already.

“Defense attorney Jennifer Willmott began her opening statement by telling the jury Arias killed Alexander in self-defense. She described the couple’s relationship as psychologically abusive and controlling, stating Alexander kept Arias as his “dirty little secret,” Meanwhile, Willmott stated Alexander repeatedly degraded Arias by telling his friends that she was a stalker.

On the day of the murder, Willmott said Arias was subjected to rough vaginal sex. Willmott stated Arias killed Alexander while she was defending herself against her angry ex-boyfriend after she dropped his new camera. Willmott discussed two time stamped photos taken on the day of the murder. One photo points up at the bathroom ceiling light after apparently accidentally falling. The other, a bloody photo of Alexander. Willmott concluded by telling the jury that if Arias had not chosen to defend herself in the one minute that passed in between those photos being taken, she would not be here today.”

Chris & Sky Hughes – The Mormon cover up continues

It’s gotta be said. Chris & Sky Hughes are the ultimate pair of lying bastards — and in that regard, they’re a perfect match for each other.

So when it came to the trial, they were ultimately faced with these 2 distinct choices:

[1] Helping Jodi by confirming TA’s mental & physical abuse of Jodi AND other women, together with their knowledge of his pedo-related antics and his age of attraction… or…

[2] Helping themselves by flat out denying everything they know, and denying everything they discussed in their email exchanges with TA.

It must have been a very difficult decision to make (not)… but they ultimately decided to help themselves and, in turn, keep all their Mormon chums happy. After all, why would they want to tell the truth about TA (and help Jodi) when it wouldn’t benefit them socially or financially?

As I stated in my original post back on January 30th… Chris Hughes already confirmed he’s firmly on the prosecution’s side, so sure he’s gonna do all he can to fly the flag for them, including stating to the media (on behalf of Martinez) that the TA letters were forged – even though he knows they were not. He knows, having seen some of them, that they’re genuine. He even wrote to TA to tell him he wasn’t treating Jodi right.

The email exchanges also specifically discussed TA’s “age of attraction” when it comes to children, which (as far as I recall) Sky was somewhat surprised at. This ties together the earlier pedophile rumors pertaining to TA and his preference for pigtails & 12 years old’s, does it not?

In fact both Chris & Sky Hughes emailed Travis telling him he was being abusive to Jodi back in 2007. This started to come out again in Alyce LaViolette’s direct testimony – despite repeated & futile objections from Martinez.

Check out the 2 specific video clips below from Alyce LaViolette’s testimony from last Thursday, where the “You Crossed The Line” email exchange & content is discussed specifically — including TA’s ongoing mistreatment of Jodi… his well known prior treatment & manipulation of other women… Sky’s statement that she wouldn’t even let her own sister date TA… TA’s “childhood issues”… and a bunch of additional information that Martinez certainly didn’t want disclosing for obvious reasons…

Then watch this very interesting Chris Hughes testimony – from the continuation of the evidentiary hearing on January 29th (Trial Day 10)…

The video below (up to the 14:00 mark)  includes Sky Hughes’ testimony from the Evidentiary Hearing, February 13th (Trial Day 18) — followed by Kirk Nurmi calling for a mistrial based on his “Greatest Hits” list of numerous counts of prosecutorial misconduct & court order violations by the state.

Taking into account Sky met TA (in 2001) prior to her marriage (in 2002)… at which point  she would have been in her early 40’s and TA would have been 23… the only question Jennifer Willmott didn’t ask her was how many times she slept with TA before and after she got married. The answer would have been interesting to say the least…

“The Martinez Sideshow” gets called out

Following on from “The Martinez Sideshow” — which apparently happens at the end of each trial day outside the courthouse — today’s proceedings started with Kirk Nurmi bringing this fiasco to the attention of Judge Pickles. Kirk also called Jean Casarez (lawyer & HLN pundit) to the stand to briefly testify.

I guess you could call it a well coordinated pre-emptive strike by Team Jodi against the Travis Taliban.

No doubt we’ll hear more about this moving forwards, as the jurors will be questioned this afternoon.

Strangely enough, Martinez played it down as irrelevant and very much a “one off” event, despite claims that jury members had witnessed these debacles.  I’m not too sure how Martinez cited it as a “one off” event.

Jodi Arias Trial – Day 38

Following on from yesterday’s non-event – for reasons we’re still not aware of – it’s Groundhog Day as we prepare again for day 38 of the trial. It’s also currently scheduled to be a short day, running from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm.

After today, and taking the Easter break into account, the trial will resume again on Tuesday April 2nd @ 10am.
