People in this world need to stop minimizing, belittling, mocking, and out- right refusing to believe people who claim they were abused as a child.

Amy, I do agree with you. In the various scenarios in which I picture Jodi, she has been the “chess piece” with the smallest helping of the available power. From childhood on. She has assumed the role of caregiver that has kept these various collaborative shipwrecks afloat. Over and over, her journaling is a reflection of her thought processes of being the “acommodator,” the one who puts their preference 2nd to other. I’ve been in this room before; I’ve seen these walls; and I’ve walked this floor. The stamp on your forehead signifies your oath never to violate your subservient role. No, I don’t don’t think he’s stronger personally but I think the general public will see him that way until he is disbarred or charged with misconduct. Something concrete that shows him for what he really is and the damage he is doing to the Arizona’s “justice system” and to Arizona’s reputation in general.

The people who open their door to a drift that fills up the whole door opening – those are the ones that I feel for. You can hide inside if it’s cold, but if it snows, you have to do something with it. YUCK.
That’d be me…had to get out via garage and when I opened the door the snow was about 5 feet high..good thing the garage door is higher.

Plus I believe he was not allowed to assert that the aggravating factor was proven bc it was NOT proven at all…….

I’m sure the jurors are familiar with LWOP, if that is what you mean, but if JM gets up and scares them into believing that Jodi would get out if they don’t give her the DP then this is what is absolutely not allowed. Jurors are not to consider such things in their decisions regarding sentencing…

I heard from a news source, that it was because Jodi was not going to do an allocution. That was the big chance for them to put on their act for any jury member who happened to look their way.

I don’t know……allocution benefits Jodi, not the state….and in fact, the jurors are not supposed to take into consideration the fact that she did not speak to them…..but they may in their own minds count that against her that she did not beg for her life….Jodi was right to state on the record that she did indeed want to allocute but that she could not unless the public was removed…again this is in reference to the threats that she has received and being unable to speak freely due to those threats…….this should be a point on appeal…..the fact that she was threatened, her mitigation witnesses were threatened, and she was not allowed a full mitigation defense….it will be part of the appeals
So that leaves me still wondering about the 3 witnesses we did not hear from this week….perhaps it is just as simple as Journee stated earlier, that they had nothing that would directly address JM’s rebuttal……..but I would still think they would have brought them in and worked in their testimony somehow…….this is the end of litigation on this matter and this is their last chance to litigate the porn issue with this jury……it will definitely be part of the appeals but for this jury it is the last chance…

johnm, Jodi does not recall much of what happened that day either from blunt force trauma to the head or from memory missing due to psychological trauma…what ever the cause of the memory loss…we will not hear it from her.
The issue is not what isn’t being said, it’s what IS being said.

Some one knows just exactly what happened in that house besides Jodi.
If the intruder scenario (which is consistent with her testimony) is accurate, said intruders might be dead or imprisoned. Jodi did say “yes” in response to Wilmont’s question “Did you kill Travis?”. Possibly she felt responsible and did not directly kill him herself, but that seems like a stretch at this point.
Lots of questions left that may never get answered unfortunately. My comments on this go back to the interrogation she underwent – over 14 hours alone in that room. There have been some great posts by Jade poking lots of holes. But what does it matter? The defense went with DV and everything went that way instead of NG. Perhaps there was an appellate attorney willing to take the case on DV being the basis of an appeal. What happened in that house over 5 days remains a mystery; no time of death from the medical examiner, no smell for 5 days (come on!!) no weapons, DNA that is just a mixture, no fingerprints on the washer… I will have to believe what I believe and let the courts do their thing.
These people sitting in court thinking this is over sure have a rude awakening coming…..
