Welcome to another new week for the AZ State Circus. Pickles earlier penciled this in as the last week of the retrial, but with 3 rebuttal witnesses still scheduled to testify for the defense — Dr Miccio-Fonseca, “Mr Smith” & Lonnie Dworkin — it’s looking rather unlikely… so we’ll wait to see how it all pans out.
However… with the copious amounts of corruption, coerced perjury, and enough valid counts of evidence tampering, lies & prosecutorial misconduct to sink several ships… the sooner this judicial farce is over, the better… because then we can start the appeals process to finally straighten out this never-ending BS fiasco and finally get JUSTICE for Jodi.
If you haven’t yet read the transcript of the hearing preceding Jodi’s “secret testimony” from last October, you can read it here – (33-page PDF).
This is how I called in back in early September 2014 — same still applies:
After several weeks of the new AZ retrial debacle… the jurors, based on evidence presented (or rather LACK of evidence as we had the first time around) will ultimately be split. No way will there be a unanimous DP verdict. Ain’t gonna happen. After all, how can a group of people — however clueless they might be — decide that someone should be killed because they defended themselves against an animal? (Answers on a postcard, please).
That will leave the final decision to Kermit’s BFF, Judge Pickles… who after several weeks of pondering (in between her hair salon appointments & typically high-scoring golf games), will ultimately decide on L-W-O-P or some similar half-assed derivative.
Once again the DP won’t (politically) be an option, due the knock-on effect of it more than doubling the current $XX millions AZ has already pissed away on the trial. That of course also being the very same self-defense trial that should never have happened in the first place.
Kick-off is currently scheduled for 9.45 am MST.

Good morning, Team Jodi! I haven’t been here for a few days because there were other things I had to take care of, but here I am ready for this charade to finally come to an end.
If I’m not mistaken, Pickles said she expected the trial to be over by the 26th, which is only 4 days away. Hmmmm….. I won’t bet my money on it. But you never know with this Judge, she may succeed and wrap this up by Thursday.
Either way, ONE THING IS CERTAIN: we are approaching the end. Keep praying for the best outcome. Keep sending love and positive thoughts to Jodi because she definitely needs them.
I am not looking forward to hearing the verdict, but I know I am indeed looking forward to taking the next step:appeals!!! 🙂

Jodi’s refusal to speak to the Jury is very damaging to her. The Allocution is a chance for her to show some remorse and give the jury a chance to see her as a person. If she doesn’t get up there and try to save her life the Jury will feel she doesn’t care about what she did or what happens to her. She has refused. Why ?
L.E., thanks for your comment. Thing is Jodi DID want to allocute, it’s Judge Sherry Stephens that denied her that right. If Jodi was to speak she’d be addressing the jurors and not the public. It’s her constitutional right to do that in private.

….about the transcript…..it appears to be the belief of JSS and JM that if Jodi would simply choose not to read the mail that contains death threats, then that would make the threats non-existent. So, if I choose not to open my mail that contains bills, does that mean the bills don’t exist and I therefore don’t have to pay them? Magic. I am going to give that a try.

Why would the jail mailroom even allow threatening email get to Jodi. Geez R. Postcard was returned because of some stupid reason. No one is going to tell me they don’t read the mail.
I think that’s just sick people saying that Cindy. From everything that I have heard, the other inmates like Jodi. Why not? The only trouble she gets in is for giving other inmates part of her commissary money.

I’ve been wondering about the threatening mail. JM’s logic is defective. She has to read the mail threats to even detect that they are threatening. They cannot screen her mail without her permission because that is a federal offense. Yet, if she gets a specific death threat she needs to know about it to protect herself (e.g. it could be from someone who has access to her like a guard, court watcher, reporter, or another inmate).
JM and the court is of the warped mind (because they want her dead) that the only evidence of a threat they will accept is an actual murder attempt on her, but after that she could be dead so it will be too late to protect her.
Knowing she would likely lose to the media in the appeal of the secrecy ruling, she probably could not testify completely accurately (under the additional death threats) so therefore her right to due process has already been violated. The media has no special right to access and live transmission (e.g. tweets) of court proceedings. They can read the public transcript like everyone else. The media has a conflict of interest in transmitting a biased and sensationalist version of events in that courtroom. Accuracy is a very low priority for them. They gain their government access by kow-towing to the “part line” ( in this case, the quest to kill Jodi).
I think the Defense team should collect ALL the hate mail, social media threats and put them all together and then rent a U-HAUL and deliver them to JSS’s office for review! Maybe then she’ll actually see the massive hatred Jodi is talking about! I personally have a collection that would fill up a few boxes! And those are only the ones directed to Jodi! If I add all the other hate messages about supporters and the threats towards Defense Team and Arias Family, I’ll need a couple of more boxes!
Like Miracle on 34th Street! When the judge had to declare Kris Kringle was really Santa Claus! Just dump ’em all on her bench until you can’t see JSS anymore.

Jodi can have video-visits now at Estrella through Securus Video Visitation; the cost is $5.00 per 20-minute visit. Visits must be scheduled in advance, are recorded and monitored, and you need to set up an account with Securus and make sure you have a webcam on your computer. There are no video visits at Perryville, though. However, Jodi can receive actual letters at Perryville instead of postcards.

Aren’t jury instructions made up ahead of the closing so the two sides can argue about the choices and the wording? I thought I remembered that from before.

It does not seem to me that Jodi had the opportunity to fully mitigate…..with her refusal to testify due to the threats, etc…with her mitigation witnesses’ same refusal due to the threats…..with the possible further evidence on TA’s computer regarding the porn possibly not finished if no further expert testimony that was scheduled for this week, etc…….it seems really incomplete to me IMHO……..

uncensored so people can make threats with impunity. It has infiltrated our legal system which is
very sad.Back in the 50 s there was a the Shepherd Case , where it was found that the circus
atmosphere effected the trial and it was a reversed thanks to F Lee Bailey.This case certainly
fits into this category. I hope that Jodi can get a really good appeals attorney.

I know crazy but I just had a feeling. But I have know idea what’s going on. The DT had 3 more witnesses last week. Now it looks like none. 2 members of the jury gone, this is crazy…. The Alexander are pissed and Jodi is smiling….

They want to limit kermit’s argument to do with an aggravating factor not proven and that a life sentence would mean she would get out of prison.
So like 25 years – what she has served and good behavior???? She’s coming home…..
if they do not vote death it is up to the judge to decide natural life or lwp, in AZ though the laws have changed, there is no parole system, it is up to the Governor to grant clemency which is highly unlikely in a murder 1 case with a finding of especially cruel. She would have to get overturned on appeal. This judge is not going to give parole.
CanadaCarol, they have proven that the Frog’s argument has been riddled full of lies and tampering, so how will that go? She should be released with time served & maybe even ban her from the State of AZ 🙂 IMO That would work for me.

JM was going to argue that if the jury were to give Jodi a life sentence then she might be able to get out prison after a certain amount of time – in other words, not really a life sentence…..JM wants to do this in order to scare the jurors into giving Jodi the DP. This can not be allowed and should not be allowed. It is not for the jury to think about or consider such things. All the jury needs to do is decide does Jodi deserve to be put to death. That’s it. Also JM was going to assert that the aggravating factor (the gunshot last just as a last FU to TA) was proven….IT WAS NOT PROVEN….and further it is highly suspect now that we have perjury regarding the order of injuries and most probable that the gunshot was just as everyone said in the beginning of this case (including the testimony of Flores and what Dr. Horn told Det Flores about this) that the GUNSHOT WAS FIRST !

I think it’s strange that the jurors are allowed to go out and have lunch and breaks among everyone else during this trial. Wouldn’t you think they would bring food into them so they wouldn’t be close to any of these trial watcher tweeter people? When I was a juror we ate in the courthouse cafeteria. We were instructed not to discuss the case or speak with anyone at all other than jurors.
See! The jury has been thrown out into the public where the media has worked overtime to campaign against Jodi. The media convicted before the jury did. There is no way I believe they haven’t been affected some how by all of this. If they say they haven’t heard or watched or read anything about the trial. . .they are lying IMO.

Okay. What if that big stack of papers JW gave to JM this morning was 7000 pages of irrefutable evidence of personally-sought underage porn that PseudoSmith found since last time, and was going to bring the whole thing out in court proving the prosecution has rigged this trial!!!! JSS said he was allowed to come back with new evidence.
That is my hope, Nym – you read my mind.
Somehow something very positive for Jody and damaging to the prosecution has happened. How else could there be the talk of allocution? I mean what would ever make JM entertain the possibility of lessening the penalty? What else could preclude the last three defense witnesses except that there is no longer the need for Jodi to bring them forth to defend herself?
