    AZ Supreme Court denies stay of appeals court order to release transcripts of #jodiarias testimony.

    • Could be that it only applies to that first ‘witness’ that day. Some say it is Jodi’s testimony; which brings me to this: how did the good ol’ press learn who it was, if it is who they say it is?

      • I still don’t believe it is the testimony of Jodi, but rather that she is setting the background for her mitigation witnesses who are the ones who are apparently afraid to testify in public….the reason I believe this is bc Jodi spent endless days on the stand in her own trial and testified to everything so there is no compelling reason now to “protect” her testimony……I believe it has to be to protect her mitigation witnesses.

    The petition not to release #jodiarias transcripts is still pending. Stay has been denied. But stays assume likelihood of success on merits.

      • JSS still has a decision to make on this matter. I believe another hearing is scheduled for next Friday about releasing the transcripts. The Supreme court declined to stay the case meaning it did not want to stop the proceedings from moving forward to resolution (a stay is a stoppage of a case or a particular proceeding in a case)…so we have JSS left with the decision after reviewing the media’s response on this matter….someone mentioned on the previous page’s postings that JSS had the intention of releasing the transcripts so I believe they will most likely be released unfortunately. This is a detriment to Jodi’s mitigation and may factor into the appeals case along with many other appellate issues……..

      • I believe what M Kiefer was referring to was the success of the merits of the media’s motions, not the defense….

      • Correction on my above comment. I have JSS on the brain today…..should have said the SC still has the decision to make on this after reviewing the media’s response….

    • Why would Jodi be upset if was because she was explaining to the jury why her friends wanted to testify in public? Or, it may be that she was not ‘testifying’ but a witness did, or maybe she mentioned who they were; now everyone will know their names. I just do not seeing her cry for herself. She has NEVER done that.

          • I just think that is a major thing for JSS to do. She actually was defending the defense attorneys by saying that the attorneys JA has now are not the same ones she had back in 2008-9. During the guilt phase it was never mentioned. Who knows. Maybe she is getting ready to take the death penalty off the table. She seems to be doing some things differently this time.

    • Whew! We sure need a transcript of today to read. You know the jury heard a lot more than the tweets put out there.

      To me the most interesting tweet is is Jen’s at the end saying: “This is a hot mess.” I wonder if that’s why the tweeting got so quiet because the anti-Jodis are thinking there is really something to this Mesa PD tampered with sacred evidence.

  97. I think prosecutor is trying to trick Mr Smith by repeatedly asking him about the time on various documents. And then asking him: “Is that Arizona time”. even though Smith says it is MST. …The prosecutor is trying to trick him in making a mistake about the daylight savings time & I think Arizona don’t follow daylight savings time like the rest of the country. …(I think)… So Marinez is trying to trick him into making (((one mistake))) & he will TRUMPET it to the jury that Smith don’t even know the Phoenix time in the evidence.

    • What got me about those receipts is that they were from her trip back to Yreka after seeing Ryan Byrnes and not before. He was so busy jumping about and yelling and mixing everyone up that no one seemed to notice the time on the receipts.

    • The prosecutor has nothing to work with. Nothing, rien, nada, ingenting, niente, niets, τίποτα (tipota), Ничего…. so he tries to ‘trick and trip’ the witnesses with stupidities and then when they answer “I don’t know” he starts shouting and badgering “So you say you don’t know…” and he emphasizes those words which he hopes will ‘stick’ to the jury and make the witnesses look ignorant and incompetent.

      I have never seen a prosecutor with such hostility and nastiness. You know who he’d make the perfect couple with? nancy grace! They are born for each other!

  98. Why doesn’t Stephens realize that every time anything related to Alexander’s hard drive that is provided to a defense examiner it’s always a clone or a forensic copy that seems to have anamolies or data that shows deletions.

    Why doesn’t she just get her own independent examiner and claw that ORIGINAL hard drive out of the clutches of the Mesa PD and determine unequivocally who is playing hide the salami? There is an original!

    If that original is tampered with when compared to any copy whatsoever that has been “provided” to the defense, we have an iron-clad proof of tampering or manipulating evidence.

    Did Travis need 19 cleaner programs for malware and trace removal to go to Home Depot or to click on a site that just happens to have YOU PORN as one of the sites they link to? It works pretty well to just type in homedepot.com for most average non pedophiles.

    Jesus jiz Stephens….did anybody tell you that you were a judge with SUBPOENA powers to use your own court appointed expert?

      Martinez knows his best chance is to promote confusion. I know the jury will make the decision, ultimately, but I believe JSS can certainly see Martinez’s ploys for what they are. I am certain she must see his deviousness.
      I feel so bad for Jodi and her family. The hatred against her is so fanatical and sick.
      People think defining her as ‘bad’ makes them good, and meanwhile they spew the most vile, vulgar, cruel sentiments, and they believe they are decent people?

  100. Didn’t cross seem very short for kermit? He got one answer to a question he didn’t understand and he sat down. Smartest thing he could do under the circumstances.

    • Yes, it was clear in the tweets that he was frothing at the mouth. It puzzled me why Smith was the least bit unnerved by the pointed nose pendejo’s gutter style tactics. It just continues to be unbelievably poor preparation of a witness by Nurmi just as in the guilt trial. This guy should have been just as cocky with his answers as Neumeister.

      But this is a classic example of why Stephens just needs to get her own expert. The only thing that needs to be determined is what difference is there between the original hard drive seized at the scene and ANY copy or clone whatsoever. Is there a difference period.

      Because she should know that even the claim that the defense attorneys who Martinez claims deleted files when they were viewing the computer, this cannot stand as a prosecution explanation. The evidence is in THEIR control. It is not a chain of custody turn-over because it never left with Maria Schaeffer or her expert. Flores and Martinez were responsible for controlling and watching every aspect of what took place from the time that computer was put on the table at the Mesa PD.

      Flores woke up the computer with a pen by touching the space bar at the crime scene……dead wrong. It should not have been touched without a write-block interface. Egregious error. Even unplugging it if it was on AC power is a hard shut down and can corrupt files. This should have been basic protocol of any detective that had the slightest idea of police procedures for preserving evidence.

      When the computer was brought out for examination at the Mesa PD, the first things that should have been connected again, was a write-block before anyone touched it.

      The only thing that needs to be determined is was that original hard drive altered in any way after June 4th at approximately 5 PM. If it was, it’s manipulation of evidence because NOBODY should have had unsupervised access to it after that time. That seized hard drive was Mesa PD’s responsibility to keep it pristine and with the exact same files and data it had on the afternoon of June 4th 2008.

      Then if there is also porn on that ORIGINAL anywhere or if any changes requiring manual deletion by a human occurred , Melendez also committed perjury. And we already HAVE that admission in the bag because it was admitted to in the State’s own motion.

      The remedy is to simply have the unbiased evaluation by a court qualified expert and determine 2 things.

      1. Was there any changes to that ORIGINAL hard drive after 5 PM on June 4th?
      2. Was there ANY pornography present, accessed or deleted in the history file or registry of that computer.

      If there was, the end. …….and I’m talking the END.

      • One thing that bothers me, Bryan N. is the one that the State uses so why in the world would she doubt him. After years of dealing with an expert such as him one would think they would know their character. BN is not the one who has the questionable background. . .that lies with the Frog and his Detective. It is JSS first DP trial so she is obviously in way over her head. I just pray she is getting some great legal advice from a honest legal expert to explain the mess this court has let happen. (Preferably someone outside of AZ) She can not let this continue with all of the proof that has been laid out before her. The facts are the facts. The facts in this mess can not be trusted because unfortunately, the facts have been altered and destroyed. It has been a SCAM the whole way. It is never too late to do the right thing. JSS correct these mistakes, SET JODI FREE.

        • JSS plus everyone else, can only take any evidence that was created to set Jodi up and throw it out in the trash where it belongs. It doesn’t stand. Jodi Ann Arias is INNOCENT!

      • The prosecutor has admitted now through Smith that there was porn on the computer when it was denied it existed by Melendez, and he has admitted that the evidence was “modified” when in evidence. His only defence is that the defence did it. If JSS believes JM, then it means that Jodi had the most ineffective counsel in history.
