  1. Good morning,!!!! I had a fleeting thought yesterday regarding hair color: since the prosecution wants us to believe that Jodi dyed her hair on her way to Mesa so she wouldn’t be recognized, I wonder if he dyed his hair in the car so he could make this point that could be done????? LOL

    • Cindy, congrads on ‘first comment’!

The whole topic about the hair coloring is such BS in my opinion!

      • Hi Cindy & Pandora,

Yes, we have proof that Martinez was wrong about Jodi changing her hair color to avoid detection. It was brown at least 9-10 days before Travis died.

        (1) This picture is dated May 25, 2008 and Jodi’s hair is brown. One of my favorite pictures of her, BTW. It says the boy is an unidentified friend. On another site, he is IDed as her brother. Does anyone know for sure who he is? If the address of the photo below doesn’t work, can someone post the picture please so people can see it? Thanks.

        http://www.fanpix.net/picture-gallery/jodi-arias-picture-22785540.htm

        (2) On the Incident Detail Report (i.e., the police report the day the pistol was stolen from Jodi’s grandparent’s place) which is dated 3 days later (May 28, 2008), her hair color is recorded as “Bro” which I assume is cop for brown. I didn’t include the address of the police report b/c it has been on this site numerous times.

        • Day 18 of the Trial Jodi testifies that she dyed her hair back to brown with some highlights before she left Mesa (and TA standing in front of his house “flipping the double bird”) to live with her grandparents. Several photos were put up on the screen in court immediately afterward, showing her with a friend and with her younger sister with the hair as she described. Said she had to dye it twice because the first time it didn’t really “take”.

JM dyeing his hair was like dropping the camera. It was “testifying”, but in a more subtle fashion. Cheap parlor tricks for a diabolical purpose. He could stand in front of Mt. Rushmore and announce that it’s Harding, Johnson, Grant, and Woodrow Wilson carved into the rock. Of course, he would adopt the quieter, tremulous tone for that.

  2. Ok I know that it was just his ego he had to look good for his fan base. Yuck!!! Seriously what type of personality would try to alter their appearance during the middle of a high profile murder trial???

    • One who turned on HLN and saw a little old gray haired man strutting around a courtroom, looking like a crazy old fool?

      Good morning Cindy!

      Good morning Team Jodi!

    • Good morning girls!
I am sooooo far behind, I’m still watching Day 15 that’s why I haven’t been commenting, I wanna first refresh my memory and then post. OCD? Oh, well…maybe LOL!
You know, some times I wish I had a time machine. I’d go back on that day in 2006 when Jodi decided to give that PPL DVD a chance before throwing it away and tell her: ”Girl, you do NOT want to watch that shit!”

She is a clever girl, I cannot fathom how TA with his average IQ brains fooled her.
She says something quite insightful on Day 15 when talking about the first weekend they spent together.
She says: ” I’m getting a lot of attention but only while we were engaging in sexual activity and then we check out and he takes off. I kinda felt like a prostitute, sorta…”
She should have trusted her instincts and woman intuition right there and then before this turned into what it eventually turned out to be… 🙁

Anyways, love you all! Off to watch the rest of the trial. Be back later ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

P.S: Congrats Cindy on #1 comment!

      • Maria, good morning. Ya, ya..I don’t like being 1st. lol

I find I can only revisit just so much of the trial at a time. It just tugs on my heart strings so much and then I hear that voices….jm and I go into a dark places.

I understand a bit of why Jodi stuck it out with TA. But perhaps if she had had someone in her life that she could have trusted…….this would have been a very different story. She really had no one she could talk to about how he made her feel.

It’s difficult for most of us to understand because we have already been there done that and learned……

      • Maria, I so agree! I would have never even tried to reason with Jodi about the DVD, I would have grabbed it out of her hand and broken it to pieces! LOL! Better she’s be upset with me than have her be in this situation today!

Jodi was a woman in love with a sociopath that couldn’t think with the ‘head’ on his neck… He only thought of his satisfaction and Jodi wanted to make him happy. She put her own happiness and pride aside. That was her mistake. She should have kicked him to the curb, the asshole and narcissist he was.

        ((((Jodi ♥ ))))

        • Pandora,

I thought you were going to say,…sociopath that couldn’t think with the head on his —-!!! That seems to be what he thought with though – sad!!! I wish he wouldn’t have introduced himself to Jodi because I honestly think because Jodi was so becoming he was sexually attracted to her from the first moment he laid eyes on her and that was his sole purpose for pursuing her!!!

      • Don’t believe he would have gotten away with those perfunctory sexual encounters without soaking her in his religiosity at the same time. She was impressed, for example, that he had read the BOM 23 times. His skill for oratory was the icing on the cake.

  3. These videos are so hard to watch again. Really sad, I’ve become a chocoholic over this mess. I have found getting up and running around the room while I watch is not helping!!!! I will be signing up with Weight Watchers when we are done with them!!!! Come on Spring!

      • Fruit, is good too! But at the rate these videos are going I’ll be swinging from the trees soon. 🙂 I apparently stress eat and these videos of Jodi are extremely stressing me out! I want to jump into the screen and say ” LEAVE JODI, Run for your life!!!! You deserve so much better!!!!!” “These people are not your friends!!!!” ” Travis is not worth your trouble!!!!” “Save yourself Jodi!!!” “Don’t answer his calls or texts JODI!” “He is evil Jodi!” I my, I could go on and on!

And then there is the drama in the audience again again again! ~~~~~iiiiiiiiis UGH!

Wouldn’t you like to see the Doodles on Samantha’s paper or pad she’s is working so intensely on????

  4. Hey admins!!!!!

I see the vent page is back! What does a gal have to do to get a password around here?

    ♥ ♥ 🙂

    • Maria hi!
Yes, we decided to put the venting page back up for anyone that has some private issues to share. You will recieve the password in your e-mail!.

  5. The State of Arizona (along with HLN and their ‘sheeple’) wants us to believe that this jury was in no way influenced by what was going on in the mass and/or social media. Here’s why I feel these people are asking me to suspend my common sense, to pretend along with them, that reality is not what it really is. For argument’s sake, let’s just say that none of the jurors, over that four month period, actually did see or hear anything about the case, either via mass or social media. (In other words, when they weren’t at court they spent their lives in caves.) OK, a bit hard for me to believe, but let’s just say for now that that is indeed the reality. However no one can convince me that the significant others of each of those jurors were also not involve. They were probably watching with as much intensity as the juror in the jury box – and probably via HLN. And there’s no law against them studying the tiniest minutia about the case, just so long as they don’t discuss it with the juror, right? So they were also probably picking up on the general mood of the media and which way the general population was leaning. And they most likely became aware, if they weren’t already, of the fate of the Anthony jurors when those jurors didn’t come in with the popular verdict (many whom had to relocate.) So these people (who like to think of us as non-thinkers) want us to believe that all twelve of these significant others, over a four month period, said not one word and made absolutely no indication or hint of what might actually happen to their lives and/or livelihoods should the ‘wrong verdict’ be delivered. Oh, and thanks to HLN, those significant others all knew exactly what the ‘right verdict’, for the sake of their own valued lives and livelihoods, should be.

What universe are these people living in?

    • Justus, I so agree with everything you wrote. Actually, it’s weird cause just yesterday I was discussing the CA case with a friend. I watched the verdict videos and saw interviews from the jurors and yes the mass was frightening and yes I am sure that some jurors from Jodi’s trial thought of the fate of the CA jurors and said “To hell with justice! I don’t want my family and myself threatened and bullied just like those other jurors. I’ll just give the mass what they want”. pffff…..

BTW, let’s remember that those jurors in the CA case were sequestered throughout the trial and their verdict was based on evidence and not influenced by HLN, social media and emotions.

      • Yes, Pandora. And I, like the Anthony jury, did not think the State proved that Caylee was even murdered. I suspected she drowned in the family pool and Casey, having avoided responsibility for so many years, decided to just try to lie her way out of this horrendous one too. If you look at Casey’s cell phone records during the afternoon of the death you will see a flurry of (probably panicked) calls to her mother (who never answered) and then they stop. I imagine at that point Caylee went into the trunk where she stayed for a few days while Casey figured out what to do (take a look at the names of the two videos she rented that night.) But soon she had dug herself so deep (and also started to really enjoy the attention) so she kept up the charade. I could see this as a reasonable explanation of events based on what we know of Casey’s personality. She is a liar, no doubt, but that doesn’t make her a child murderer. And the State, to me, never proved otherwise.

If that jury had not been sequestered I believe Casey would be sitting in prison right now. But I would have seen that more as spiritual justice (karma) than criminal justice.

        • Absolutely!
The Prosecution overcharged Casey but did NOT prove premeditation. The jurors being sequestered had no idea of the witch trial that this had turned out to be nor of the fact that America was asking for Casey’s blood. So theydelivered an uncompromised verdict, imho. Had it been the other way round, Casey would suffer the same fate as Jodi right now.
          Casey was lucky.

          • Totally agree, Maria. Even though initially I felt like Casey Anthony was guilty of murder, there were lots of strange things going on with that family including the father and brother that made me see the light and agree wholeheartedly with the jury’s decision.

Casey was beaten up pretty badly by HLN especially Nancy Grace, but even she NEVER received anywhere near the amount of hatred that Jodi Arias has gotten.

Casey was also helped by a very strong defense attorney in Jose Baez. Say what you want about him, but Jose kicked ass in that trial.

        • Justus,

No, Casey did not put Caylee’s body into the trunk of her car! My husband bought me the book that Jose Biaz wrote that I had wanted for a long, long time! The name of the book is, “Presumed Guilty” – Casey Anthony: The Inside Story. If you haven’t already, you ought to buy the book! It is an awesome, eye opening, very interesting (to say the least) read!!!

You see, just as in the Casey Anthony trial as well as Jodi’s, people assume things that are not true and that’s the reason why these trials shouldn’t be televised, especially if the jury is not sequestered, because as Edgrrr always uses the term “sheeple” always follow the crowd! Someone in the crowd yells Jodi did it and the “sheeple” follow with the same words, Jodi did it! Another assumption would be someone yells Jodi planned to kill Travis and the “sheeple” follow and say Jodi planned to kill Travis and so on and so on!!! The same as someone yelling, Casey put Caley’s body in her trunk and the “sheeple” follow by saying Casey put Caley’s body in her trunk!!! It’s really sad that all these “sheeple” just go with the crowd and can’t or don’t want to think for themselves but I guess maybe some people just don’t have that gift and, therefore, that is why it is SO important to get to the TRUTH of the matter since sometimes there is corruption in the law and also in who the blame of a crime is put on!!! That’s why, in America, a person is INNOCENT until PROVEN guilty and that person has to be PROVEN GUILTY BEYOND A REASONABLE DOUBT!!! There has to be an ACTUAL witness/s or DEFINITE piece/s of EVIDENCE not just here say!!! Someone can’t just say I think it was this person or I think this person did this or that or I think this person had this or that in their hand! If you say these kind of statements you have to have proof or you have to have personally witnessed such!!! This was the WHOLE jist of Jodi’s trial!!! HERE SAY, except for JODI’S testimony, because she was actually there!!! Anyone who doesn’t believe Jodi’s testimony, just because of her other two confessions when she was first arrested and scared, is just choosing not to believe her at all!!! They have NO PROOF that Jodi is not telling the truth now, none whatsoever!!!

          • Mary, I’m sorry you see me as one of the ‘sheeple’, just falling into lockstep. No, I haven’t read José’s book and would be interested to hear his version of how all that went down. Does he continue to say that George was the one who disposed of Caylee’s body? And does José present proof or is that just Casey’s words. Because while I don’t think Casey is a killer (maybe just an irresponsible young mother who wasn’t properly watching her child while talking and texting on her cell phone), I do think she has a way of seriously deflecting blame (whether it be on a nonexistent nanny or her father.) And if George was not involved and didn’t toss his beloved granddaughter’s body into the woods like trash (for no good reason if it was an accidental drowning) then where was that baby’s body between the time of her death and when she was dumped? I am not relying on hearsay to draw my conclusions but rather from what I heard in that Florida court of law.

            • Justus Forusall,

Do you have the password to the Vent section? If you do, and when and if, I get it , I will explain further what Jose says in his book.

Until then, I just feel that anyone who bases what they believe about ANY person convicted of ANY crime solely on the trial proceedings, without doing their own research, is a “sheeple” because, like I said earlier in my postings, there is much corruption in law enforcement AND some attorneys and if everyone just goes along with the “status quo”, so to speak, what chance does ANYONE have of a fair trial or justice?

            • I dunno, Justus —

Just as I didn’t let Jodi tell me what to think about Travis, I didn’t let Casey or Jose tell me what to think about George.

Travis’ own words and behavior told me that he played an active part in the circumstances of his own demise.

George’s own words and behavior told me he was guilty of participating in the cover-up. Reason? Cindy.

The whole family’s bat-shit crazy, IMO – but Cindy’s at the core of their dysfunction.

            • He does provide proof and keep in mind George could have sued him over that book if it were full of lies. He didn’t. That speaks volumes.

              • Thanks, Alexis. I will look into it. (I’m just not too fond of being called names when someone doesn’t agree with me. I wouldn’t do that and I expect to be treated with like respect.)

                • Recent mentions here lately have me re-reading ‘Presumed Guilty’, and something just struck me.

Kronk made his first phone call about his find in the woods on Aug 11 – he tried calling twice more over the next two days, but then he doesn’t call again until Dec 11.

So…. the 11th of each month is meter-reading day in the Anthony’s neighborhood? Do you suppose Kronk was in the neighborhood on Jun 11? And saw someone carrying the bag into the woods?

                • Hi Journee!

Roy Kronk (aka “The Body Snatcher”) is an odd guy for sure. He moved Caylee’s remains at least twice while waiting for a good time to claim the reward money. It’s estimated that George dumped Caylee in the woods on the evening of June 18th 2008.

This is an excerpt from my “Immaculate Deception: The Untold Story of Caylee Marie Anthony” post:

“November 2008: Roy Kronk calls Brandon Sparks and tells him; “I found Caylee’s remains. Watch for me on TV cos’ I’m gonna be rich & famous!” (This is 1 month before Caylee’s remains were discovered).

Then on December 11th 2008: After “the big discovery”, Roy asks Law Enforcement: “Will my ex-wife find out about the reward if I get it?”… “Do I still get the reward even though she’s dead?” and “Roy’s gotta eat too!” Same day, he tells his Boss (at the scene): “Alex, I just won the lottery!”

Those comments speak volumes about Roy Kronk’s actions (and inactions) during the previous 4 months leading up to December 11th 2008.

Not forgetting the time Roy met up with Sgt. Richard Cain who couldn’t see anything, slipped, cursed Roy out, and promptly left. He was later fired. Tim Miller, LE & 32 Texas Equusearch Volunteers also allegedly searched this same area in early September 2008 and found nothing. Deputy Jason Forgey (and his cadaver dog) did the same at different times too. Zilch.

By all accounts, the reason nobody could find Caylee’s body (in the same spot it was “found” by Roy Kronk on December 11th 2008) was probably down to the strange but true fact that it simply was not there when they searched.”

                  Team Jodi

                • Thanks, SJ!

The dates have always been a confusing jumble for me.

I’ve seen a couple of timelines that said Casey and Caylee moved out of the Anthony residence on Jun 9. Then Cindy’s 911 call on July 15 says she hasn’t seen Caylee since Jun 7. And Casey says on July 15 that she hasn’t seen Caylee in 31 days — *31 days* being something harped on endlessly, while no one, apparently, took a few seconds to do the math: July 15 minus 31 days equals Jun 14.

So, in all that jumble, I wondered whether it was a stretch to think that Kronk might have been around when the body was stashed there to begin with.

            • Justus Forusall,

              I am sorry!

I didn’t mean it the way you took it, that I called you a name. “Sheeple” is just a term I got from reading Edgrr’s posts (if that’s the word you are referring to by calling you a name) and I liked the word! I didn’t think it was a bad word or name calling because I wouldn’t do that either! That’s wrong! People can have whatever opinion they want to have and I can have mine but I don’t believing in calling people names just because they don’t agree with me either! You’re absolutely right about that! It’s a matter of respect, like you stated. I wasn’t trying to single you out or call you a name, I was trying to describe a term of following someone, like you probably have heard the term “follow like sheep”? I think that’s what Edgrr means by the word “sheeple”, at least that’s my understanding of it.

Anyway, no harm intended, and I hope you accept my apology! I am truly sorry!

              • Thank you, Mary. Apology accepted. I too am fond of the word ‘sheeple’ (people who don’t think for themselves but just follow along like sheep). I am glad to hear you didn’t intent to label me with that. And I apologize if I was being overly sensitive. I will look further into the José/George issue. Thank you for the heads-up.

                • Awe, I love you guys! Ur comments are so educational, and its ok, to agree to disagree , I don’t think anyone of us really knows what we would do, if we were on Jodi’s position. I have my own theories, and other people are initialed to theirs.
We will be able to ” rewind the clock ” as Jodi has said she wishes she could
I think the way the media treated her during and after her trial is absolutely criminal! They continue to use THEIR LIES, to condemn her. Then call Jodi the liar. I know what I saw and heard, a biased trial towards a young woman.
I pray for a break in this case!! I pray for JUSTICE FOR JODI..
YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME PEOPLE TO CONTINUE TO SUPPORT HER.
The fact that this next jury members will not be sequestered, scares me. I
know the trolls are posting nasty hurtful pics on Twitter. So I made a Pic of my own , IT READS JUSTICE FOR JODI, ITS COMING

                • Nothing wrong with being called a sheeple, Justus because I was one before this trial. My eyes have been opened up to all of the injustices that are happening in our legal systems today!!!!! I thought Casey was guilty but I never read anything but what the media put out there for us. I didn’t bother to pay attention and read everything for myself. I am so glad to find out she was innocent and I’m sorry I didn’t support her at her time of need. I feel stupid for that but since Jodi’s trial I have become VERY interested in the seeing that she finds her FREEDOM soon. She is only guilty of protecting herself against a vicious attack from an abusing disturbed boyfriend. It didn’t take me 2 seconds to see through the lies so from NOW on I will read and study things more before I ever judge anyone again! My apologies to Casey and I hope she is able to overcome all of the tragedies that she went through. I am (suppose you can say) a recovering sheeple! They will not fool me again, at least I hope not!!!! I believe with all my heart and soul that Jodi has been a scapegoat and she should be set free. I love TEAM JODI and JODI!

      • They have the jury foreman on utube, He explained why he made his vote( and the comments were sooo nasty ,towards him) ,

        • Our local newspaper here used to allow comments and, as you can imagine, most of them were pretty nasty, offensive, racist, homophobic, etc. That is until a couple of years ago when they created a new system which required that you log into your Facebook account to post a comment. Since that happened, almost 100% of the nasty comments and commenters are gone. Yes, people can still create fake Facebook profiles as we all know, but I think this is how every newspaper and website should have their commenting policy.

    • Justus

There were so many things wrong with the trial, it’s very hard to pick out the worst of it.

It really was some kind of perfect storm I think.

  6. I’ve just been reading a page of quotes from Donna Tartt’s ‘The Goldfinch.’ This one made me think of Jodi:

Only here’s what I really, really want someone to explain to me. What if one happens to be possessed of a heart that can’t be trusted–? What if the heart, for its own unfathomable reasons, leads one willfully and in a cloud of unspeakable radiance away from health, domesticity, civic responsibility and strong social connections and all the blandly-held common virtues and instead straight toward a beautiful flare of ruin, self-immolation, disaster?…If your deepest self is singing and coaxing you straight toward the bonfire, is it better to turn away? Stop your ears with wax? Ignore all the perverse glory your heart is screaming at you? Set yourself on the course that will lead you dutifully towards the norm, reasonable hours and regular medical check-ups, stable relationships and steady career advancement the New York Times and brunch on Sunday, all with the promise of being somehow a better person? Or…is it better to throw yourself head first and laughing into the holy rage calling your name?”
    ― Donna Tartt, The Goldfinch

  7. And this one:

“A great sorrow, and one that I am only beginning to understand: we don’t get to choose our own hearts. We can’t make ourselves want what’s good for us or what’s good for other people. We don’t get to choose the people we are.”
    ― Donna Tartt, The Goldfinch

  8. And maybe, most especially, this one:

“Well—I have to say I personally have never drawn such a sharp line between ‘good’ and ‘bad’ as you. For me: that line is often false. The two are never disconnected. One can’t exist without the other. As long as I am acting out of love, I feel I am doing best I know how. But you—wrapped up in judgment, always regretting the past, cursing yourself, blaming yourself, asking ‘what if,’ ‘what if.’ ‘Life is cruel.’ ‘I wish I had died instead of.’ Well—think about this. What if all your actions and choices, good or bad, make no difference to God? What if the pattern is pre-set? No no—hang on—this is a question worth struggling with. What if our badness and mistakes are the very thing that set our fate and bring us round to good? What if, for some of us, we can’t get there any other way?”
    ― Donna Tartt, The Goldfinch

    • Indeed. Thank you!

I take great offense when I hear people say that the only reason why men like me are interested in supporting Jodi or defending her is because we find her attractive and the only thing we want to have to do with her is a booty call. Uh, no…you’re getting us confused with Travis Alexander.

  9. Can I just say that it is so nice to watch these clips WITHOUT commercial interruptions or HLN commentary? This is how CourtTV used to cover trials.

    • I’ve always said that I consider myself lucky to NOT live in the USA and not ahve to be temptd to watch this on HLN. Live streaming and of course YouTube have been a ”lifesaver” LOL!

        • Watching HLN last year is how I imagine it would be to watch hemorrhoid surgery on TV: it’s hard to watch, very painful and you’re just grateful that it’s not your ass up there on the screen.

    • From the above-linked Maricopa County court document:

“The Court has considered the defendant’s Motion to Dismiss Death: Cruel and Unusual Punishment filed January 17, 2014, the State’s Objection to Motion to Dismiss Death: Cruel and Unusual Punishment filed January 27, 2014, and the oral argument conducted on February 19, 2014.”

      ============================================================================
How could the judge have written on February 5, 2014 that the Court had considered an “oral argument conducted on February 19, 2014”?

Has that oral argument been conducted or not? Has it been considered or not?

Was this a typo in a capital case that has already seen a “typo” by the Medical Examiner? The eventual claim that substantial contents of his autopsy report were “a typo” –
      1) eviscerated the defendant’s claim that the gunshot was accidental, and 2) turned a blind eye to evidence that that shot was not incapacitating.

Thus, in case carrying a potential death sentence, a “typo” effectively substituted for actual legal argument that the defendant was not defending herself in a life and death struggle when the killing occurred.

      • whichtrial?,

I wondered about that date of February 19, 2014 too!!!! I kept looking at the date on my computer and then back at that date and I did that looking back and forth about three or four times – LOL!!!

          • Looking at the dates of everything else (date of motion, date of state’s reply, and guessing oral arguments would come after that) I think the ‘9’ was the typo, that arguments probably happened on the 1st.

    • GMAFB!!!! Those fuckers (don’t excuse my language!) are out for blood! Of course, if someone looks back to all the motions that have been denied, this shouldn’t be a shocker…

As I have said before: Jodi can’t get a fucking break! The witch hunt continues in shitzona.SMFH!

I am royally pissed right now.

Jodi, the more they deny your motions, the more we fight back girl! Don’t give up!

      ((((((Jodi))))) ♥

      • This was a Hail Mary, Pandora – just Nurmi seizing the day after an execution in Ohio, with an experimental cocktail of drugs, went awry. You didn’t really expect Stephens to go for it, did you?

It’s just one more thing that Nurmi has neatly lined up for the appellate lawyers. As I explained to Maria, the dialogue about the death penalty is heating up, in part because of the inability to get the necessary drugs. Somebody – preferably SCOTUS – needs to step up and put a stop the the ‘experiments’ being conducted on the condemned. But in order for SCOTUS to take up the matter, they have to have a case to consider. Nurmi’s motion puts AZ v Arias in line for consideration of that matter.

        • In the Court’s reply to Nurmi and Willmott, there is no mention of the lethal cocktail.

Can anyone explain the date of February 19, 2014 for an oral argument already considered?

          • My mistake – we weren’t privy to the original motion. Only that it was filed, and that it was filed just days after that botched execution – so a few of us speculated that was what was behind it.

As to the arguments happening on a date still 12 days in the future, I can only guess as you did: it’s a typo, OR Stephens misspoke when she dictated it. I’m sure someone will catch it and amend it somehow.

    • It is simply illogical that with a hung jury in the penalty phase of a case that the State of Arizona gets another crack at DEATH. It’s ass backwards. With a hung jury, the penalty should automatically be LIFE. And I don’t think this just because of Jodi’s case. I can’t understand why this has not been challenged by AZ criminal defense lawyers. But then, why should they? They get their 30 pieces of silver (I have one crim. def atty in mind when I say this).

      • The redundancy of the process itself exerts a burden on the jurors that is intrinsically biased against the defendant.

The jurors selected for this second penalty phase may not know anything about the evidence in the case as they embark upon their duty, but they WOULD know that a first jury could not decide the sentence. Does this place some degree of pressure on the jurors to justify the second trial by voting for the ultimate punishment?

(As I’ve written here before), the requirement that a jury be death-certified must detract from the impartiality of jurors during the guilt phase, because with the possible question of a death sentence ever-present, jurors may consider that their greater task is to determine the penalty. How can evidence be fairly weighted in an atmosphere in which guilt might be perceived a foregone conclusion?

Giving a second jury a “chance” to kill a defendant places supreme value on the sentence itself, while valuing less the will of the original jurors, who have already spoken.

The second jurors, therefore, enter into their duty with an awareness that the will of the first jurors was not equal to the task. This perception could generate an intellectual abdication, detracting from a rigorous examination of the evidence and the requisite tenacity of diligence that is necessary.

  12. Hey everyone!

I just wanted to thank you for putting up the videos of the trial without commercial interruption or bullshit commentary from HLN. It is much appreciated, believe me.

I’m sorry for spending so much time in the VENT page, but I have a lot of info to share with my fellow supporters!

  13. Jodi doesn’t deserve everything she is getting. I think Juan Martinez knows it too. He just wants recognition. I hope he burns in hell.

    • I genuinely believe Martinez has so many unresolved psychological issues and complexes that he cannot see ”beyond his nose”. On a deep subconscious level, he knows he’s gone too far. But on a more superficial level, oh no! He is enjoying this SO much he has no time to think of Jodi. Career advancement, fame and recognition have blinded his good judgement (if he ever had any).

      • Maria, I have read that a lot of psychopaths are judges, prosecutors, and lawyers. That explains a lot! Lol. I will see if I can find the article again.

  14. Happy Sunday, cyber family!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I’m going on a short trip today, I’ll probably be gone for 3 days or so but I trust you will keep the fort while I’m away right? Anyways, I’ll try and check the site once a day. Love you all ♥ ♥ ♥

    (((( JODI and Team Jodi )))))))))) 🙂 🙂 🙂

    • Wes, I saw that you posted on the May 30 page this morning, but your “alert” was vaporized, so was unable to read it.

But did read again your “TEACH YOURSELF SOME LAW” post(s), and took some (more) notes. Outstanding! Many thanks!!

  15. I found a great quote today by Benjamin Franklin:

“Justice will not be served until those who are unaffected are as outraged as those who are.”-Benjamin Franklin

  16. Hello to y’all.

I am new here. Although this is my first time commenting I have spent many hours reading here. I would like to tell all you guys that you are astonishing. Jodi is really lucky to have all you wonderful souls supporting her. As you, I too support Jodi. I believe that this was a crime of passion. She has been wrongly convicted.

A little bit about myself (I feel I know all of you so well, it’s only fair for you to know a bit about me):
I’m from the Cincinnati Area, I am an accountant, I’m married and have two lovely kids and my hobby is riding my motorcycle. I love feta cheese and I’m half Italian. I guess that sums it up!

I will try posting more often here. Truth is that I was sort of reluctant to but I sometimes have the urge to comment on the wonderful posts SJ shares with us!

  17. “Be bold and mighty forces will come to your aid” (Goethe)

I think ALL people who support Jodi, including the people on JAII, could be thought of as a “mighty force.” If I was in prison with a DP sentence as a possibility, the fact that many people were rooting for me would keep my spirits up and enable me to fight on.

The article below “Death Sentences Being Overturned in 2 of 3 Appeals” is an older article (2000) but touches on several things that apply to Jodi’s case.

For instance, among death row inmates whose sentences were set aside on appeal, 75% were given lesser sentences & 7% were found not guilty.

It also states that the rate of error found in appeals in DP cases ranged from 100% in Kentucky, Maryland & Tennessee… 100% error rate!

It discusses the great amount of pressure on prosecuters to win high profile cases (which also leaves little room for plea bargaining)

And, it states that juries in a DP case often feel a rush to convict as they look at photos of a dead person and see the victim’s family in court. Sound familiar?

    http://partners.nytimes.com/library/national/061200de/library/natde/libraryionalath-penalty.htm

    • Address doesn’t seem to work but you can get the article on Google – the author’s name is Fox Butterfield.

    • It certainly isn’t out of the question which is why those on the side of the prosecution need to temper down their cockiness because prematurely celebrating and spiking the ball before you get in the end zone will backfire on them.

Whatever happens, we’re going to fight for Jodi until she is free and receives justice. We’re in this for the long haul, no matter how long it takes.

    • Great information Coldcase53.

Yup, it sounds wayyyyyy too familiar! (rolling eyes the samantha way)

      ((((Coldcase53))))

  18. Hey there everyone! Love reading all of your guys comments. However, can anyone tell me the details of where Jodi was going with the Chevy Cobalt when she was arrested? Enjoy your evening Jodi supporters!

        • I dunno, she had a bunch of stuff loaded up in her car as though she was moving, but she also testified about wanting to remove herself from the immediate vicinity of her family before committing suicide.

Matt was in the Monterey area at that time.

  19. There was an article online the other day which talked about how a court ruling last week clears the way for a second penalty phase for Jodi. Many people in the media believe that Jodi is going to get sentenced to death. I don’t. Remember, these are the very same people who were overconfident that Casey Anthony would be convicted and they were all wrong. None of them saw the hung jury in the Jodi Arias case either. I’ll never forget the looks on the faces of the HLN talking heads last spring when there was a hung jury. They all looked like they had just received a shot of Novocain

As much as those people would love for Jodi to get the death penalty, I don’t see it happening.

    • Jeff I agree with you. It’s not going to happen…… But what does scare me is if it is another “hung” jury the last word would come down to Judge SS. ruling.

I do have a question, can any new evidences be broth froward at this trial.

    • I pray she doesn’t Jeff! Unfortunately as we all have watched this unfold.. . it is easy to see there is no telling what could happen in AZ!

    • I also recall that the HLN “personalities” almost unanimously said that “the death penalty is off the table” when the evidence was rolled out in court as to TA’s exploitative and rough behavior with JA.

  20. SJ thank you for posting the link to Sept. 11, 2011. Oh how I wish I had found this site then. That was another trial that I watched every day. I went through hell with my family over that also.

  21. I would like to start off by saying that I am grateful for this site. When Jodi first went to trial I was misled by HLN’s hate-filled propaganda. After reading this site for awhile, I realized AZ vs. Jodi Arias was nothing more than a WITCHHUNT and I regret my sheeplish thinking and decided to drop in and post a comment so go easy on me please. I’m Elisa Vasco from Levvitown NY and work in online sales and internet marketing of medical supplies. I have two beautiful boys and a great husband. During my younger years, I played in some b rated flicks and tv shows but I never made it ;-( I’m here to tell you I support Jodi Arias 100% and I’m also in this for the long haul and I want to thank SJ and the admins for this site giving me and everyone the opportunity to comment in safe place FREE from the HATE you see elsewhere on the web. Oh one more thing: I love to drop F bombs and my favorite words are SKUNT and TWUNT. Jodi, don’t give up! We are in it until the day you walk free!!!!K

    • Elisa Vasco, welcome!!!

Thank you for your honesty! You ARE safe here – our site is a HATERS-FREE site!

You and me are gonna get along just fine! I too swear like a trooper! SKUNT and TWUNT… hmmmm…. good ones!

Can’t wait to hear your point of views about this case.

      (((((Elisa Vasco)))))

    • Wow! I’m not the newbie anymore. 🙂

Even though I’m a newbie too, let me welcome you too: Welcome, Elisa!

Hey, did you notice that we have -almost- the same name?

      (((((Elisa Vasco, welcome)))))

    • Elisa welcome!
You’ll find kindred spirits here. I’m not yet sure why we’re not the majority. It’s such a shame the humans on the other side of this debacle, do not have what I consider the #1 trait of being human, being compassionate. Thanks to SJ for providing a space for us spirits! Jodi we’re here for you!

    • Welcome, Elisa! Totally agree with you about HLN’s propaganda. And I, too, am grateful for this site! 🙂

      • Hi Elisa and welcome from TN!! We are glad to have you aboard. Jodi needs all of the support we can muster up so feel welcome. SJ and our Administrators are the Best and we are in a Hate Free Zone so comment away!!!!
