Innocence: An Argument For Jodi Arias [2013 RE-POST]

in Latest News by

This is a re-post from May 30th 2013:

Check out the excerpts below from Richard Speights’ detailed post – “Innocence: An Argument For Jodi Arias”… then click here to read the full post at his website. It is the most detailed & comprehensive synopsis of the June 4th events I have seen to date.

The above answers all the blood evidence, stabs, abrasive wounds, and incisions in a reasonable version of events, wherein all the pieces of this puzzle fit together perfectly, naturally, and consistently. The evidence shows Arias did not attack Alexander; he attacked her. Her actions, according to the evidence, were in self-defense—justifiable homicide. This is the only reasonable conclusion to Travis Alexander’s death.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

It is clear Jodi Arias defended herself against a rampaging Travis Alexander. The autopsy report is clear only when you understand the meaning of each cut, stab, and wound and how they fit with the blood evidence. The prosecutor and the defense team couldn’t give a complete and creditable account for all the evidence at the scene. The prosecutor and defense answered the evidence with more than one scenario each. This essay contains the only story that accounts for all the cuts, stab wounds, and blood evidence, and the evidences shouts, “Jodi Arias did not commit murder. Travis Alexander’s death is justifiable homicide.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

The jury was not sequestered for the trial. They may have sworn they didn’t watch television news, listen to the radio, or read the newspapers, but, honestly, how could they have escaped the poison of seething hatred for Jodi Arias. It filled the air. It tainted the water. It changed the taste of everyone’s food. It crept into the lives of the jurors, who were free to move about the murmuring mob, living among the horde that later howled for Arias’ blood. Arias did not have a fair trial. The spotlight of hate was too bright. The flood of hatred had completely drowned all common sense and fairness.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Seeing Travis Alexander’s dead in that shower will haunt Arias for the rest of her life. No amount of water could wash away the horror. She couldn’t clean away the nightmare. But like my father and others who have had to kill, Arias is not guilty of murder. She fought to stay alive. She fought, as any of us would, to take her next breath, to see another tomorrow. Her actions that terrible day are, as they should be, justified.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

    • Bill Schnoebelen’s Temple of Doom – excellent teacher having a very unique perspective about a religion that has 4000 commandments and 90 percent of it’s people will never make it to their celestial kingdom. No wonder there are so many suicides. The 1st half is the history part of the religion and then around 1:00 he speaks about temple endowments, the three levels of heaven and who goes where, and of course blood atonement. I found it fascinating and scary.

      • Ok, I was sucked under trying to catch up on these Mormon Sites! Gasping for air!!!! LOL
What is fascinating to me is how many people have been brainwashed into this religion! Scary yes.
I wonder how many have actually researched their farfetched so-called religion. 🙄
Did you pick up on the fact that they are told “to put their shoulders to the wheel” (one of their favorite hymns) and how down trodden they all appear to be from working all the time trying to sell their religion to new members? (Reminded me of PPL and Travis) When Bill Schnoebelen discovers all he had to do to be saved Acts 16:31 KJV and then his burden was lifted and his whole life changed for the better? He is a wonderful instructor and he has been there and walked through it all! Watched Part 2 also. Thanks CC!

Praying Jodi will be able to hold her own up against that slimy frog.

        • Most disturbing is that not only in Mormonism but in almost all religions the followers as well as the preachers don’t practice what they preach!

All the Mormon witnesses the state brought forward lied about the farce life travis led! He mocked his religion, he manipulated women into having sex with him (implicating that they would be ‘the one’) and then when he was done with them, he threw them out like yesterday’s trash… It’s not only travis, it’s many people that don’t ‘follow’ the rules of their religion….

It’s hypocritical that while they are in the temple/ church of their religion, they are praising their lord and trying to be good followers and the minute they’re out of there, they have forgotten the rules, the commandments, the ‘laws’ and everything in general that their religion is based on.

It seems that most Mormons don’t like the laws of their religion and just stay in that religion either because they are afraid to leave OR because their friends and families are Mormons and they wouldn’t want to be banned or cut off from their circles (there are exceptions: People that truly obey their religion – but that is less than 5% of the population, IMO).

          • That whole temple thing is manipulation and control. Being “worthy” to enter the temple— what a joke!! Only the dumb shits would fall for deception like that.

Bible says “The LORD does not inhabit Temples made by human hands” So I guess that is where He is not going to be.

        • Why, all youse guys are pandering to the spastic hypnonauseating, prostitutor, is beyond me. The three stooges, conspired with their exculpatory concealment, to claim, for the purposes of extraditional kidnapping, under color of law, that, the gunshot was first, realizing that Jodi, could not have overpowered, Travis, without, shooting him, first. This was the scam, that, netted these LIL, lizards at law, an interstate kidnapping, at law, signed on to, by, two governors. and, due to the alignment of the planets, by, the medical examiner, the spastic prostitutor, and, the defective, detective; all, having, separately arrived, at the same epiphany, at the same time, to, perjure the process, to claim that, she shot him first, to gain the advantage, while all three stooges, lied at law, to claim, their cons – piracy, while concealing, that the combined blood contained no, gunpowder, particulates, proving that, Jodi, never fired a gun; concealed by the three stooges, conspiracy. Then there’s further evidence, as to what these lizards at law, concealed, in, their con, that this was one crime, all, in less than two minutes; claiming that,, Jodi, at 130 pounds, could overpower, Travis; over two hundred pounds; the martial arts kickboxer, fighting for his life, when, these were crimes, days apart, as evidenced by, the bullet, ejected shell, that landed upon, four or five day old, dried blood; whatwith, no blood on top of the brass, and no blood smear from wet blood, anywhere near the ejected brass. Therefore, .after years of fraudulent concealment, the spastic prostitutor reversed, his format, to then contradict, that, which the three stooges, swore to, which, was a perjury of process; proven by the prosecution then, of the opposite of the conspiracy they scammed, for their interstate kidnapping at law, and, representations, then recanted, without a bleat from the sheeple, regarding, the tacit confession that, in effect, the reversal was necessary, since the concealment of exculpatory evidence had done the job, intended, and, then could be discarded, to, admit, what the three stooges, knew, all along, and, perjured en masse, to scam, by, their fraud at law. Then, you can bet that the governors were not, informed as to their rescision of the warrant, and, the admission of the three stooges, con, as, nothing in five years had been entered, that was not known from, before, the three stooges con, now then, confessed to by the spaz’s, doublecross, of, his partners in crime, who have remained silent, to hide their complicity, and, of course, there was no interrogation by the braindead judge, or the governors, as to, whether or not, they want to recant the recant, confession of the prostitutor…whose, repudiation of all his soap operas, automatically, contain reasonable doubts, as the spaz, has sworn to, contradictory, “facts,” as if, no matter which lies, he floats, he’s credible… Do youse guys, get it that this trial, is no more than a smokescreen to put a lid on, this series, of perjuries at law; with a death penalty, subversion, to, put a lid on the hypnonauseating, prostitutorial, criminalities…before, the spaz, shoots himself in the foot, again; recanting his recants, and, 180 ing his 180 s……..??? Edgrrr…

Waiting for Jodi Arias in Maricopa County Superior Court. No sign of her or Juan Martinez, though the hearing was scheduled for 8:30.

    • Thank you so much, rb!

I was busy at work today and didn’t have time to check Twitter .

      GO JODI!!!!!!!!!! ♥ ♥ ♥

    • The frog wants Jodi to disclose her witnesses, but doesn’t want to disclose his???
      What a hipocrite!
And calling DeMarte an expert is quite an exaggeration.

      • I know! Right?! DeMarte is an expert in her field BUT Alyce LaViolette and Dr. Richard Samuels (both with decades of experience in their field) are not… pffffff DOUBLE STANDARDS! 🙄

  2. Highlights from this AM’s hearing compliments of M. Keifer:

    – Martinez will be interviewing Jodi’s mystery witness tomorrow.

    – Motion to compel – Judge Stephens orders Jodi to file the addresses under seal so that JM can contact but the public will not get the addresses.

    – JM wants raw data from Jodi’s psych evals so that he can get them to his expect, Dr. Janine DeMarte.

    – JM has not disclosed all his witnesses – says he can’t until he interviews Jodi’s.

    – KN asks that interviews be scheduled when he can attend in case he becomes her lawyer again. Denied.

    – Cameras in courtroom – JM does not object – Jodi does “There is more damage that can be done”. Will be re-argued Sept. 15.

    That was all.

  3. His expert witness: One of my fav’s of hers:

JW: And you would make that opinion based on the fact, or despite the fact, that you are not a domestic violence expert?
TotDoc: I’ve worked with a lot of people who have experienced domestic violence.
JW: But you told us yesterday, that you are not a domestic violence expert, right?
TotDoc: I did, based on the idea that I do not have a licence in domestic violence.
JW: What licence is there in domestic violence?
TotDoc: That’s exactly why I said that. There’s no licence in domestic violence.

    • UGH, PUKE!

I was reading and could hear TotDoc’s snarky conceited voice in my head. I’m scarred for life, LOL!

    • This is the kind of weird logic we’ve been facing throughout. TotDoc’s view of reality: “Only someone with a nonexistent domestic violence license can be considered an expert. It thus follows that there is no such thing as a domestic violence expert.” (Reminds me of her pompous attitude about having a PhD. Pieces of paper are what’s most important.)

      • JW: So you didn’t feel that there was any confusion on your part at all?
TotDoc: Right, my notes were very clear about the timeline of what she dated.
JW: Okay, and your notes were done in just a period of twelve hours that you spent with her, right?
        TotDoc: Yes.
JW: So in that twelve hours then, you somehow think that she went directly from Mr. McCartney and started dating Mr. Brewer immediately, that’s what you think?
TotDoc: Not somehow, that’s the information that I was given.
JW: That’s what you are basing your opinion on, right? That’s what you think?
TotDoc: Yes, based on the notes I received.
JW: Well, you didn’t receive those notes. You wrote those notes right?
TotDoc: That’s correct. Yes, I wrote the notes.

She missed a lot about Jodi in her 12 hours, like not knowing that TA sent the missionaries.

    • LMAO! I think I sprained my brain trying to follow TotDoc’s train of thought! I am, but I’m not, but I am but there’s not! Hahahhaaaaaaaaaa

  4. My oh my – whatever WILL Jodi’s haters do with the information that she doesn’t want cameras in the courtroom?

I’m sure they’ll come up with something.

  5. Additional comments from Trial Lilypad:

    – Jodi wants a hard drive from evidence.
    – Jodi files handwritten motion
    – Jodi wants her expert to look at the exhibits
    – Jodi says her witnesses don’t want to talk to state because of how JM handles them. Jodi doesn’t want JM or Flores contacting them prior to interview.
    – Jodi complains of time to interview – Judge says must be done by Sept. 8.
    – Sept 15th camera motion to be ruled on. Need to discuss jury questionnaire.

    Another hearing tomorrow.

    • Absolutely! Why would her witnesses want to talk with either one of those liars? And knowing Flores Mormon religion NO THANK YOU! Knowing that pretty explains the crime scene being in the shape it was. IMHO !!

    • Good thing that they are going to give the hard drive a second look.
Maybe they will recover Travis’s stash of child porn. Anything.
I don’t believe he didn’t have any forbidden pictures, maybe he deleted them and they are waiting to be recovered. Those detectives probably only gave the file system a cursory look, but didn’t attempt to analyze the image of the hard drive itself.

    • Jodi is doing a thorough and awesome job! Of course she will look into everything that wasn’t taken under consideration or ‘swept under the rug’ the first time around!

And I agree with Jodi: why in the world would she be willing to hand out her witness list? martinez bullied and badgered the first round of witnesses. I’m sure that when she hands her list over to the frog, it will be leaked out from Scoopy herself and the frog will be all “Wow! How did that happen??? I sweee-aaar I never gave her the list!” Ya, right!

  6. Matthew 23:1-4 KJV Then spake Jesus to the multitude, and to his disciples, 2 Saying,The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat: 3 All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not. 4 For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men’s shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers.

    Zelda Williams, Twitter
Robin Williams ‘ grieving daughter, Zelda Williams, has returned to Twitter after receiving far too many unkind comments online. After removing the popular app from her device, the 25-year-old actress posted an inspiring message on the social media site Monday afternoon.
“Thank you,” she wrote with a link to her Tumblr page that features an important note on bullying.

“Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accept no one’s definition of your life; define yourself,” she wrote while quoting actor Harvey Fierstein. ”

Found this interesting. The World is full of bullies, isn’t it? Very sad.

  8. Beth Karas on JVM had this theory that might be just the wording and her PI is going to access the crime scene evidence, not visit the house. A lot of haters seem steamed up about it. :D:

    • Great observation (Marja Liisa) with reference to that article about the two totally innocent men that were totally exonerated. …And yes, (R.Love), it is very sad that this happens & perhaps 4% of people in prisons are wrongfully convicted or over charged, I believe a much higher percentage. …(((Jodi is in that 4% of innocent people))).
…Please, can someone do some research on the original prosecutor who ((((is unrepentant)))??
…I googled: ((DNA evidence clears men of 1983 North Carolina murder but Prosecutor is Unrepentant about his role)). …I was directed to a screen shot of Southern magazine cover featuring (((Joe Freeman Britt, the original prosecutor))) in that case.
…Can we find out what news media (((continues)) to glorified this prosecutor and will that media now do news stories that he is wrong & will not repent his unjustified prosecution of these two innocent men??
…And, get them to also consider that the prosecutor in the Arias case is just as NONCARING to get to the truth but only to convict for his own personal gain?? …That is the big story (IMHO).
…Jurors should know that the greatest crimes in the country are accomplished by those who convict innocent or overcharged people, whether they be prosecutors or snookered & tricked jurors. …

    • It is a shame that people are wrongly convicted and serve the best years of their lives trying to fight the justice system that has been unfair to them!

We have Ryan Ferguson that spent 10 years of his life in prison for a crime he didn’t commit.

Debra Milke… this woman not only ‘lost’ her child but served over 20 years on Death Row because of a corrupted police man (Saldate) who claimed Milke confessed yet never had any evidence of the sort.

People like Saldate should be strictly punished. They have no place in the justice system…

  11. I was listening to the phone call from Travis’s friends to the 911 operator on the evening his body was discovered. Does anyone know if this call has been edited? The reason I ask is b/c in the Comments section someone questioned how the operator knew the victim’s name was Travis since none of the friends mention who the victim is but the operator refers to him as Travis around 1 minute and 5 seconds into the call.

Of course, if they were calling from his land-line phone, I guess his name and address would show on the operator’s screen. Still, you would think the operator would have verified who the victim was instead of just assuming the victim was the person who lived at that address (since there actually were several people living there). It makes me think there must have been some conversation with Travis’s friends before the recorded part we hear although when the recording starts apparently the operator doesn’t even know what the problem is. I sure there is a simple explanation.

Also, the operator orders the five of them to leave the house and the call continues uninterrupted which makes me think perhaps they were using the cell phone of one of the friends (which wouldn’t reveal Travis Alexander’s name).

Anyone know how the 911 operator knew the victim was Travis?

    • I figured the recording presented at court was edited – for that reason and also for the fact that the conversation is kind of chopped up, you know?

Of course, the question would be WHY did the state not want to play the whole tape? I mean, Martinez didn’t mind wasting time on a lot of other inconsequential BS, why couldn’t the jury hear the whole tape?

  12. If Jodi had requested cameras in the courtroom, everyone would be barking about how she loves the cameras. Now that she’s requested no cameras in the courtroom the banter is that she doesn’t want the world to see her make a fool of herself. This sort of confirmation bias, distorting perceptions to fit pre-existing beliefs, is what perfectly defines this trial.

  13. I always thought it was odd that Travis’s bedroom’ s door knob could be locked and unlocked from outside his room__not even by a simple ‘ twist’ mechanism__but by an actual key. I guess I am being redundant by stating the obvious; a key was necessary to lock or unlock the bedroom door from outside the bedroom.
Maybe I’ m wrong, but I think it is pretty uncomon to have doors __ any doors__ inside a modern era house that have a key hole on the exterior door of any room.
I know that VERY old houses had skeleton- key holes which could be locked and unlocked from the exterior, but I thought key- holes on exteriors of inside doors in an home is a very rare occurence.
I have lived in different houses with roomates, and no such locks existed. If a door was closed, no one would enter without permission, and would simply knock when one knew someone was inside the room.
I assume that the roomates had similar locks on their bedroom doors.
Maybe the key- lock situation is not odd, but to me it is unusual.

I also note that the roomates said it was customary to keep the front door of the house unlocked.
Then I note that they say it was customary for them to not answer knocks on the front door if they were not expecting someone.
Personally, I would certainly open the door and/ or at least determine who was knocking, especially if I was not expecting anyone, and I knew no one else was answering the door.
And I would especially answer the door if I knew it to be unlocked.

And if I was aware that supposedly Travis’s tires had been slashed__ and it was not known for sure who slashed them__ then I certainly would keep the door locked and make sure it was locked when some unknown person was knocking.

I know no one ever knew for sure who slashed the tires.
I read that a call was made to the police saying that tires were slashed, but such a long time passed without the police showing up that reportedly Travis dropped the matter, and the police never came and a report was never filed.
Did Travis call the police back and say, ‘never mind, don’ t bother’?
If he called them back, wouldn’ t they be more likely to come relatively soon after a second call?

Was there any proof that tires were slashed, other than someone saying so?
Was there any evidence that Travis had the tires fixed ( replaced)?
Although I assume Travis was interested in saving money, I really don’ t suppose that any insurance company would actually compensate anyone whose tires had been slashed?

    • Amy, when my son went to away to school and shared an apartment they did have keyed door locks on their bedroom doors but shared the common area of the apartment. I just figure Travis had that same type of set up since he had paying room mates.
I’ve wonder if there was a receipt somewhere that would prove whether he had his tires replaced or not. Not sure. I believe Jodi had nothing to do with his tires being slashed and he knew it. It was only part of his attempt to make Jodi appear like she was stalking him. I believe it was a guy that did it, if it even happened.

      • OH, and my son never had the other roommates key. . .ever. I think that kind of defeats the purpose of the key locked doors, doesn’t it? Sort of weird Travis’s “room mate” had access to his key IMO. 🙄

        • Thanks for responding. I also thought it might be because they were paying roommates.
But yes, it defeats the purpose of having locked doors in the first place.
I too, think it is strange that the room mate had access to the key. Neither room mates had been there very long, and one, to my knowledge, had only been there a week.

          • Travis’ own keys were in the kitchen, though, weren’t they? His CTR ring and his keys? I’d assume his bedroom key would be on his keychain.

            • I don’t remember the room mate stating that he used Travis’s keys that were with his ring. I just remember him saying he had them and used them to open his door for the big discovery! Might be worth reviewing that again.

                • Flores report: June 5 6:00pm Enrique said his ring and watch were ther
June 9 Zach gets a set of keys and opens the door

                • Also Journee, June 7 Zach had texted Travis about a Mailbox key; if he knew where the keys to unlock Travis’s door were would he not have known where the Mailbox key were? Also June 8th the mailbox key text was brought up again. The mail was more important than finding a missing Travis? Shhhooo what is that smell? 🙄

    • There’s nothing there that proves Jason is running a scam – only proof that he is acting against Jodi’s wishes and she wants it all to stop. Which, I would agree, should be reason enough to make JW take down the site..

But, IMO, the accusations and name-calling only fuel the fire and probably give him more reason to dig in his heels and refuse to cooperate. I think we need to choose our words carefully if we speak of him at all and, wherever possible, follow the example set by SJ in the note top right of this page: don’t speak of him.

      • Yeah, on second throught I guess you’re right, I shouldn’t have posted that link here.
I just wanted to warn everyone that we shouldn’t trust him.
I won’t be speaking of him.

But there was a point during – I believe – Melendez’ testimony (yah, I guess it would have to be Melendez) when Jennifer asks whether he also examined CDs and other storage devices confiscated from TA’s house. Martinez objected and they went to sidebar and when JW came back she changed the subject. So I gather there was some ruling about any introduction of that other evidence.

The thumb drive and the business card, Martinez getting Connor to identify this item, that item, is this the east wall or the west wall, let’s look at this view and tell me which is east and which is west…. all of these bits of info that just hung there with nothing else done with them – these are among the things I was thinking of yesterday when coldcase was asking about the 911 tape and how it seemed to be edited. It can’t have been edited for ‘time’ considerations because Martinez was perfectly willing to waste time on BS.

Makes me wonder if sometimes he was deliberately trying to bore jurors into not paying attention.
